Each backup is kept for seven days and then deleted.

The privacy policy lists what the operator can and can't see, line by line.
Your agent runs on a server Brandon rents from Hetzner in Germany. Your conversations are stored there, because that's how the agent remembers them. The privacy policy covers who can see what, where messages go to be answered, and how to have everything deleted.
Invite not working?
Each invite link works once and expires after a while, so ask Brandon for a fresh one. Got a new phone? A new invite connects it and signs the old one out.
